The Park Plaza Hotel Trier was built in 2002 on historic ground, directly in the center of the city of Trier and is surrounded by famous Roman monuments, such as the Porta Nigra, the amphitheater or the Imperial Baths, which belong to the UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Park Plaza Hotel Trier also harmonizes a modern design with Roman accents. Already in the entrance area you can discover parts of an original Roman building masonry, which was found during the excavations on the building site of the hotel in Trier, at a depth of about 4.5 meters, in the area of today's public underground parking "Plaza Carrée".

The way to the hotel reception leads over the "Roman road", on which 6 picture fields with different muses are represented - a cut-out copy from the "Muses Mosaic". The original can be found in Trier in the Rheinisches Landesmuseum. In April 2014, during a 5-week renovation phase, the entire first floor of the hotel, including restaurant and bar was renovated to offer guests a contemporary feel-good ambience.
